Who are we?

Simmons 3 is a (pending) 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was formed after the passing of three amazing children, Lindy, Christopher & Kamryn, whose lives were stolen by an impaired driver. Our organization was formed on December 16, 2022, 364 days after the tragedy. With this organization, we hope to travel to schools, drivers-education courses and anywhere that would teach the devastation of driving impaired.

Our Mission

Our mission is to raise awareness of the devastating effects of impaired driving and to help other families who have been affected by impaired drivers — all while honoring the memory of Lindy, Christopher & Kamryn Simmons.

What do we do?

Since our lives were changed by this tragedy, we have begun to speak out as much as possible. We are involved with Sudden Impact and have given multiple presentations to high school students. Our goal is to be able to travel to as many high schools as possible and share our story. Since Lindy, Christopher & Kamryn were young, our story resonates with these children, and we truly believe the impacts will last and prevent them from making the choice to drive intoxicated well into their futures. Dawn’s dream would be for Katie to travel with her to share their story far and wide.

In addition to spreading awareness and preventing senseless crashes due to impaired driving, we also help our community when needs arise. Kamryn had a heart of gold and did not like to see anyone hurt or upset. We know that she would want for us to help as many people as possible.

Ultimately, our long-term goal would also be to assist those affected by uninsured or underinsured impaired drivers. We were so blessed to have our financial burdens lifted by crowdfunding, but we know not everyone is as fortunate. We know that the expenses that can come with having your world turned upside down due to an impaired driver. Medical bills, car repair expenses, loss of wages, etc. We would love to be able to come in an assist those in need whose lives were interrupted by no fault of their own.

Help support our mission to raise awareness of the devastating effects of impaired driving and help other families who have been affected by impaired drivers — while honoring the memory of Lindy, Christopher & Kamryn Simmons.
